I learned other technology from James Sanders about Socrative. I like this tool because it is helpful for teacher and students and easy to use. Teachers use Socrative website to engage their classroom with a series of educational exercises and games. Students can use tablets, smartphones and laptops to use this website.
Todaysmeet is a good tool because teacher and students can make comments and  ask questions thought this website.

Online Tool

Tonight, I learned more online tool. I like the google presentation because we can work in group without meeting in person. Now, we have the google presentation, we can work together in there with different time and place. The google presentation is easy to use because it likes  powerpoint and word documents. That is very cool tool. I like it.

Social Media

Having technology in the classroom it is helpful for a teacher but letting students use social media in the classroom that is not good. I don't want students using social media in my classroom because they will not focus into my lesson. I only allow them using internet when I give them a project to do in group but not using facebook or twitter websites. They can not concentrate into a lesson while they are communicating with other in facebook or twitter websites.That is not good way for learning. I know we can not control them using the technology at home but at least they know they have a limit using that in the classroom. When students are in classroom they have to follow the rule in their classroom. At home, parents should give them limit to go online with any technology.

Podcasts, Video, and Flipteaching

Tonight I learned about other new technology. Podcasts is a great tool for the teacher and students. They can use for watching, listening their own voice. They can hear their messages by using the keyboard. I like animoto video because it is short video and create anything in the video we like. Everyday I have learned the new technology. Right now, I am still not clear enough about those websites but I will learn its.

New tech tool tip

Today, I have learned a lot of tools for helping my teaching job. Now, I know we do have a lot of websites for teacher to teach students. That is good because the teacher doesn't need more time to think or create an  activity for students. Some websites have some activity that teachers can use in their class room and make a classroom lively. I like a Xtronomal, Thinkfinity, and Discovery Education websites. These websites will help me to create a lesson plan, or some activities that I will use in my classroom.

A digital immigrant vs. A digital native

I am a half of a digital immigrant and a digital native, because I was born when a time wasn't have much technology, and I live a time have  a lot of new technology. I am a slow learning about new thing, so a new technology is my challenge. I think the old people is a digital immigrant because they need to learn how to use a cellphone, DVD players, camera records and so on. The young people is a digital native because they know to use it faster and more than that they know how to use smart phones, the internet, and so on. The kids today know to use a lot of technology. A new technology comes out that is good because we save a lot of time to do our works. On the other hand, a technology makes people are been lazy because they depend on a technology such as students like to use a calculator rather than work by hand. People are less communicated with others because they like to communicate with cellphones or the internet all the time they have.
